Comments: The menu has two labelled vegan dishes: Beetroot & butternut squash pizza and broccoli, tahini & quinoa salad. They have vegan cheese and any of the pizzas can be made vegan friendly and gluten free. There are also a few suitable side dishes. Soya milk is stocked for drinks.

Comments: Explain to the staff that you are vegan and do not eat egg, fish sauce etc. There are suitable vegetable and bean curd dishes such as fried aubergine with spicy garlic sauce, bean curd with chilli & black bean sauce and bean curd curry. They can also provide suitable accompaniments including pineapple fried rice with cashew nuts and vermicelli. The food is good.

The labelled vegan options are beetroot & carrot falafel bites, spicy jackfruit nachos (with vegan cheese), sweet potato, red pepper & spinach curry, pulled jackfruit & mixed grain salad, fully loaded vegan burger, Puy lentil & mixed vegetable bake, sides including sweet potato fries and chips and apple & blackberry tart and sorbet desserts.

Comments: Chinese & Thai takeaway and chip shop. Inform the staff that you are vegan and do not want egg or seafood products in your food. Most of the vegetarian Chinese dishes can be provided vegan. Comments: Takeaway, where you can pick up chilled Indian ready meals with heating instructions for ovens and microwaves. All the vegetarian dishes are suitable for vegans, with the exception of those containing evaporated milk, which are marked on the menu. Vegetarian dishes are cooked separately with rapeseed oil.

Comments: Indian/Bangladeshi restaurant/takeaway that is popular with local vegans. The menu marks dishes containing eggs or dairy so in general vegetarian items without these are suitable. Check individual options as there are a few sundries containing animal products that are not marked. There is one vegan starter aloo chat, a selection of curries, a biryani and sides. The homemade breads are not suitable but a few types of rice are. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful.

Comments: A vegan breakfast of falafel, spinach, mushroom, tomato, beans & toast is served until 2pm (midday Sunday). The lunch menu is available noon-3pm Wednesday to Saturday and has two dishes that can be adapted to vegan; the starter of beetroot Carpaccio and the white bean & lentil cassoulet. These dishes are also on the dinner menu which has another starter that can be adapted; spiced French bean salad. They do have frogs legs on the menu which may make you want to avoid it.
